A short Silver City favorite — petroglyphs, easy elevation, and a half-day outing close to town.
A loop of roughly 2 miles passes a series of petroglyph panels. Cultural-resource — no rubbing, no chalking, no touching the rock art.
Trailhead is northeast of Silver City off Cottage San Road. Limited parking; arrive early on weekends.
Pair with breakfast at a downtown café and you’re back by lunchtime.
