Ranmon Inc operates salars.net, atlas.salars.net, and store.salars.net. Sentinel at intelligence.salars.net is an owner-only dashboard; its public alert discussions appear on salars.net. This page explains information associated with visiting these sites, joining the newsletter, and contacting us. Some Store listings lead to eBay, where eBay handles checkout. Direct Store orders, when available, use Stripe-hosted payment and the Store policies shown before purchase.
Information collected
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive the details you choose to provide. Form submissions are stored so we can respond and are delivered to our support inbox through Resend. If you comment on an article, Atlas page, or public Sentinel alert discussion, we store the name and text you submit, the page path, the submission time, moderation status, and a hashed IP address used to limit spam. We clear the comment IP hash after 30 days. Cloudflare Turnstile checks comment submissions for automated abuse. A pending comment is sent to our support inbox through Resend for human review. Approved comments show the submitted name, text, and date publicly; the hashed IP address is never shown with the comment. Do not include private information in a comment. If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address, confirmation status and time, consent wording version, signup page, referring site page, and a short campaign code if present. We also record welcome-email timing, attempts, provider message IDs, and a random unsubscribe token so we can send each follow-up once and honor opt-outs. We add your address to the SalarsNet Newsletter segment in Resend after you confirm. A hashed IP address is used briefly to limit spam submissions. We count main-site page views by day and page path without storing a visitor identifier in that count, and remove those daily counts after 90 days. The newsletter page separately counts page views by day, same-site referring page, and short campaign code without storing a visitor identifier in that count. When your browser supports it, clicking a Store link on this main site sends a small referral event; we count these by day and referring page without storing a visitor identifier in that count. Hosting and basic site delivery may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, and requested pages. This main site does not provide an account or checkout.
Direct Store orders
For a direct Store purchase, Ranmon Inc receives the order details and contact information needed to confirm the purchase, calculate tax, arrange shipping, provide tracking, send service messages, and handle cancellations, returns, and refunds. Stripe processes payment details; our Store does not receive your full card number. We provide the shipping details needed for fulfillment to the relevant supplier and carrier, and use Resend to send order email. We retain transaction and service records as needed for support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Direct Store checkout is currently paused.
How information is used
We use contact information to respond to inquiries and support requests. We use confirmed newsletter addresses to send the audit, three spaced welcome follow-ups, and occasional SalarsNet issues. Every newsletter email provides an unsubscribe option; Resend manages broadcast opt-outs and the site processes welcome-email opt-outs. Aggregate page and Store referral counts help us understand which pages are useful and where to place relevant invitations. Technical information helps deliver and protect the site. We may retain records as needed for legal, accounting, or dispute purposes.
Site guide
The automated guide searches published SalarsNet pages and current Store listings. When building search metadata for new or changed pages, we send public article text through OpenRouter to its Mistral Nemo model providers; visitor questions are not sent to OpenRouter. For some questions, our Cloudflare Worker sends the question and a few matching public article passages or listing summaries to Cloudflare Workers AI to draft an answer. Source links remain visible, and the guide falls back to search results when AI is unavailable. We do not save guide conversations. We store only daily counts of AI requests to enforce a usage limit; routine hosting logs may include request information. Cloudflare says it does not use Workers AI customer content to train models or improve services without explicit consent. Please do not enter payment information or sensitive personal details in the guide. Use the contact page if you need a response from a person.
Optional Google measurement
If you choose “Allow measurement,” eligible pages on that site load a Google tag connected to Google Analytics and an existing Google Ads destination. This privacy page and our terms page do not load that tag. Google may receive information about your visit, including pages viewed, interactions such as outbound clicks, browser and device information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers. We set advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization consent to denied and enable ad data redaction. We use Analytics reports to understand site use. On the main site, a confirmed newsletter signup may send a sign-up event, and a Store link click may send a referral event. On the Store, a click on an eBay listing link may send a listing-click event. These events do not include your email address or confirmation token, and an eBay click does not mean a purchase occurred. Automatic form-interaction and site-search measurement are disabled on the main site. Page-view URLs sent to Analytics omit query strings; the newsletter confirmation page sends no page view, even when it sends a confirmed sign-up event. The Google tag does not load when you decline or before you make a choice. Your choice is stored separately in this browser for the main site and the Store. Change your main-site choice here: . Use “Measurement settings” in the Store footer to change the Store choice. Declining after allowing takes effect when the page reloads.
Google advertising
We use Google AdSense on eligible pages of salars.net. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to show ads based on those visits. Other advertising vendors and networks may also use cookies for personalized advertising. Where an advertising consent message appears, you can review the current partners, their data uses, and available choices there. Learn how Google uses information from partner sites. You can manage or opt out of personalized Google ads in My Ad Center and opt out of some other vendors' personalized ads at AboutAds.info. Your measurement choice above applies to our optional Analytics tag; advertising consent is managed separately through the advertising consent message.
Community discussions
On-site article, Atlas, and public Sentinel comments are stored in Cloudflare D1 with the name, comment text, page, moderation status, and a keyed IP hash used for spam limits. Reader comments appear only after human approval; rejected comments and old IP hashes are cleared after 30 days. SalarsNet forum discussions and accounts are hosted by Discourse. Visiting the forum or choosing “Show replies from Discourse” on an article connects your browser to Discourse, which may receive your IP address, browser details, the article address, and any account or post information you provide there. Article pages do not request the Discourse embed until you press that button. A forum link opens Discourse directly. Discourse handles account sign-in, cookies, posts, and its own service records under its privacy policy and terms. SalarsNet human moderators can review public posts, flags, and account activity available to forum staff. Public posts may remain visible to others and be quoted or archived. Contact us about moderation or data requests; Discourse account controls and policies also apply. Clearly labeled AI topic guides may use public article text and an approved public comment addressed to a guide to draft a brief response through Cloudflare Workers AI. Opening comments may be drafted from popular published articles. Bot activity is capped, and human moderators remain responsible for account and removal decisions.
Other sites
Some Store listing links take you to eBay for checkout, shipping, and payment. Direct Store orders, when available, use Stripe checkout and the Store's shipping, returns, and terms pages. Other links may take you to third-party websites with separate data practices.
