A Geological Curiosity Judge Bennett, commissioner for the terri- torial fair, received from A. McGregor, of Georgetown, a rock having a perfect picture in colors, of Mineral mountain, at Georgetown in this county. The beautiful stone was taken out of a shaft on the McGregor mine at a depth of 110 feet from the surface. It had a seam in the center and after exposure to the air for a short time, it parted, showing the most beautiful piece of nature’s photograph, of the long hill running down from the parapet to the south- east, being a perfect photography of the moun- tain, hills, trees, rocks, etc. It is on exhibition at Judge Bennett’s office in the Morrill hall.
