A letter from Julius Wagner to J. M. Lynch
states that the twin brother of Mr. Wagner
was shot dead recently at Monterey, California,
by a hot fiend. The fiend came in and asked
for some morphia, which he secured and started
off without paying for it. Mr. Wagner called
his attention to the apparent oversight when the
fiend turned and shot him dead. He leaves a
wife and two children.
