EDITOR’S NOTE: Edward L. Doheny
came to Kingston as a young man and taught
school between using a pick and drill in the
Kingston mines with Albert Bacon Fall with
whom he was later to be involved in the Teapot
Dome scandal which resulted in Fall’s death
brought on by imprisonment. Fall was the one-
time Solicitor-General of New Mexico. Doheny
became one of the nation’s leading capitalists.
