From the Liberal Last Friday night occurred the funniest hold-up of which there is any record in this section of the country. At midnight Messrs. Doyle, Plunket and Dougherty, three miners working for the New Mexico mining and mill- ing company at Pyramid, came out of the shaft to eat their lunch. The men were wet through, but instead of sitting down by a fire and eating their lunch they were invited by Bill Caldwell to stand up and put their hands above their heads. As the request was emphasized by a Winchester rifle the invitation was complied with. Caldwell marched them down the road apiece, turned Plunket loose and then went on
