General Superintendent Gilchrist of the
S. C. & N. met with an accident on Saturday
evening last. He in company with another man
was traveling on a hand-car at the rate of
twenty miles per hour when an obstruction was
encountered. General Gilchrist was thrown
high in the air and lighting upon his left shoul-
der, it was badly fractured. A special convey-
ing the wounded man arrived here Sunday
morning, and he was conveyed to the Sisters’
hospital where he was attended by Dr. E. L.
Stephens. He is doing nicely.
