EL BASO HERALD Sport and Society Section Sport and Society Section MINING NEWS Mil ITS PBODUCIN OF MIAMI Ml DOMINI IS Concentrator To Be En larged And New Mill To Be Built Globe Ariz May 18 The Miami Copper company produced in April 2688790 pounds of copper in concen trates There were mined 83465 tons of ore of which about 29000 tons came from development work 32000 from square setting next to the capping 14000 tons from the shrinkage stopes and 8000 tons from the old dump at No 2 shaft Development work for the month amounted to 6602 feet compris ing 4492 feet of drifting and 2110 feet of raising virtually all in ore One churn drill was in continuous opera tion exploring the northeastern part of the property The erection of the steel tailing tower is finished and it Is be ing equipped with four 60 foot bucket elevators all of different make it be ing intended to make a test of their wearing qualities In the concentrator the 100 horse power motors that drive the intermediate crushing machinery are being replaced by 3 50 horse power motors and email experimental section is being ran in connection with
