t Tho Spanish American Xsaued en Saturday of each Wt Published by Mora County Publishing Company SUBSCRIPTION PIUCBt On Tear 101 Biz Months 100 Single Copy OS Entered at Roy N M postofflee foi transmission through the malls as see endclass matter Town of Solano Booming Solano in the extreme northeastern corner of Mora county is an enterpris ing and rapidly growing town The townsite was opened April 1 1907 by Messrs Chenault Wilborn and Crutch er of Tucumcari and since that time four general stores two hotels two lumber yards and a meat market have been opened and several residences have been built A postoffice was es tablished and put in operation with G H Morris in charge The town has been made the center of a new school district with F M Hughes G H Mor ris and Barcilio Garcia as directors and preparations are being made for a school bond issue of 1200 Over 125 children of school age are located in the new district requiring the serv ices of two teachers at the start Work will be commenced on the new school house at once and it is hoped to have it ready for occupancy November
