GEOLOGY OF PYRAMID OR LINDKNDORF The Pyramid range of mountains had its birth in Tertiary time the characteristic country rock being andesite porphyry The minera occurs in lissure veins and zones of fractura due to Assuring The fleptn to which the principal fissures extend is doubtless profound Mineralization was wrought by ascending circulating waters durin which epoch the formation of primary aulphides occurred Later de scending waters formed zones of secondary enrichment due to the ox idizing and dissolving Dowpr of such waters The ores occur in deposits of considerable magnitude as well as ir veins of greater or less dimensions The ore is chiefly that of silvei with a small percentage of copper The gangue is of a silicious char acter carrying manganese Grey copper is also a constituent of tht better class of ores High values in silver usually accompanying thir mineral and also the lead ores Amiya ranging from 50 to 150 ouncer silver per ton are of frequent occurrence and also values all along ur to native silver The elevation of the region is between 4500 and 5000 feet All mining men have agreed that deep mining is the key to sue cess in the Lordsburg
