attorney for Phelps Dodge Co In New Mexico ha given the following signed statement to the El Paio
Times In connection with the suit filed by the government for the recovery of certain timber lands
purchased from the territory and now owned uy the Alamogordo Lumber company Kditor Times In my
absence from El Paso In attendance upon court In Nanta Fe a bill of complaint was filed at Ala
mogordo against the Alamogordo Lumber company by United States attorney generals assistants who are
now seeking to carry out the sensa tional policies which have been in stituted againt everyone they
for any cause cared to indict for any infringement of the United States laws either material or
technical and who unuer their commission assume it their duty to bring
