EL PASO HERALD Tuesday April 7 1914 were hundreds of cases among anlrn and hundreds of deaths A total of 4345 cases of charbon with 2883 deaths was reported to the health department dur ing 1913 and the estimated and re ported value of the stock dying of this disease was 98475 The state board of health urgently asks stock raisers and owners to exercise early precau tions to prevent charbon from assum ing epidemic proportions during the coming spring summer and fall Ir epidemics of this disease are to be averted the early and first cases must be properly handled All carcasses should be completely destroyed by burning all animals sick of charbon should be absolutely isolated and quar antined and all those exposed to the disease should be vaccinated SLAUGHTER BECOMES MBMBBR OF MEXICAN CATTLE COMPANY Douglas Ariz April 7 J H Slaugh ter of the San Bernardino ranch near here has been added to the directorate of the Slaughter Land and Catle com pany The other directors are K L Slaughter who operates the ranch W B Slaughter of Dallas Tex and Geo M Slaughter of RoswelL The com pany owns a big ranch near Mocteau ma
