N THE CHIEFTAIN Un Semanario publicado en ambos idiomas Ingle y EspaΓ±ol The BaUroad Officials The railroad officers of the Santa Fe passed through the city going south Wednesday morning The party was made up as fol lows JJ Frey general manager Charles Dyer general superin tendent James Dunn chief engineer John Player superin tendent of machinery J M Meade resident engineer J E Hurley division superintendent C M Taylor division master mechanic The party went south to El Paso Deming and Silver City returning to Socorro Thursday morning after which they made a trip to Magdalena They re turned the same day and pro ceeded north to Albuquerque The object of the trip is to make a general inspection of the line before the first of the year Our Relations With Enjrlaud Clevelands message to con gress has the true sound and the action of the house in voting one hundred thousand dollars for a commission to inquire into the Venezuela boundary on yesterday was the proper thing There can be no party in a matter of this kind it is not whether the gov ernment is right or wrong to a true American the action of the government
