In the assessor’s office we were unable to
find any record of the transactions of the offices,
with the exception of the assessment rolls and
returns. The accounts of the licenses issued
and the fees and commissions of the office, we
could not ascertain anything about. Mr. E.
Stine, deputy assessor, who was absent, and Mr.
Harry Classen, the assessor, could not give us
any information about the affairs of his office.
