On  the  south  side  of  the  street  was  the
Templar  building,  west  of  which  to  Water
street,  was  burned  in  the  “first  fire.”  It  could
have  been  saved  this  time  if  the  water  had
been  strong  enough  to  go  to  the  top  of  the
building.
