PREMEDITATED  SUICIDE

Edward  Monier,  an  old  barber  at  Lords-
burg,  who  had  been  quite  ill  for  some  time,
finally  decided  that  the  pistol  route  was  the
shortest  way  out.  Suiting  the  action  to  his
thoughts,  he  placed  the  muzzle  of  his  pistol  to
his  ear  and  took  his  departure.  The  old  man
was  methodical  in  all  his  arrangements,  going
so  far  as  to  leave  minute  directions  as  to  the
indivduals  whom  he  desired  to  act  as  jurors  at
the  coroners  inquest.
