Pap Ambler, a deputy sheriff of Lords-
burg, arrived in this city Wednesday with Ah
Jim, a Chinese gentleman, who was looking
for a friend of his by the name of She Good
Cod, whom he swore in good American style
that he would βround upβ with a gun. He was
fined $50 and six monthsβ imprisonment by
Judge Graves, of Lordsburg, for carrying a gun.
Pap Ambler says that gun plays and the carry-
ing of guns in Lordsburg must stop. As he is
a man of his word, the nuisance will either be
abated or the jail will be full of six monthsβ
prisoners.
Two Mexicans while returning to Pinos
Altos from Central city, Sunday night last, got
into an altercation during which one of them
received a superficial flesh wound in the adbo-
