It was one of those foul murders re- sulting from the vicious, depraved disposition in man which causes him to kill another to see him fall. K. restaurant was broken open and $16 stolen. β€œJoe,” the proprietor, the most popular Chinaman in town, says it was a Chinaman who stole the money, and it’s an even question that β€œOld Joe” will locate the thief and bring him to punishment.
