Parker
communicated the news to Mr. Allen who said
he would look for the horse and if found would
notify the sheriff, but up to time of going to
press nothing has been heard from him. The
murdered man is well spoken of by his former
employers and by all who knew him.

September 1, during which time it is unlawful
to kill deer, turkey, quail and grouse.

On Tuesday evening last a lady was in-
sulted on one of the streets in this city by a
colored man. If the identity of the individual
can be established, he will be taught a lesson
which he will not soon forget. Such things
are of very rare occurrence in this city.
