county  tax  levy  is  2*4  mills  on  the  dollar  of

To  the  foreman  of  the  grand  jury:

We,  the  committee  appointed  to  examine 
the  books  and  accounts,  and  the  conduct  of  the 
sheriff’s  office  submit  the  following  report:

We  find  that  Sheriff  Whitehill,  ex-office 
collector,  has  failed  to  pay  over  to  the  territorial 
treasurer  any  of  the  moneys  due  to  the  territory 
since  January  24th,  1890.  The  law  requiring 
payment  on  the  10th  day  of  each  month  of  the 
amount  in  his  hands  due  the  territory  on  the 
first  day  of  the  month,  has  been  entirely  disre- 
garded.
