Parks had his six-shooter in his hand, and taking it in both hands, took delib- erate aim, and no doubt killed Esty the first shot ,the shot striking him a little above the heart and coming out near the right shouldei blade, the second shot struck him in the center of the chest and came out in the back, his third shot missed Esty. Esty shot three times, some say he fired four. Parks went to Solomonville and gave himself up. The jury pronounced it justifiable homicide.
