who had visited their lair during several years.
Before Mr. Hardy left the country the women

son were also hung on a tree near the side of
th road, as a warning to murderers.
COURT COMMENT
Territory vs. Thomas Dusado, carrying
deadly weapons. Judgment of the court below
affirmed with costs. There are a large number
of men throughout the county that continually
carry deadly weapons, and if more of them were
brought before the courts and disposed of as
the above case, a stop would be put to this
practice.
Lieutenant Britton Davis, who is in charge
of the Corralitos company in Mexico, is a guest
of the Timmer House. Mr. Davis endeared him-
self to the people of this section in the Geronimo
campaign by his heroic efforts to capture the
wily old warrior. On several different occa-
sions he would have played sad havoc with the
Indians but for the compromising orders of
General Crook. He became disgusted with
Crookβs method of campaigning, resigned from
the army and has ever since been connected
with the Corralitos company.
Jim Swartz, a Mimbres farmer, spent a
couple of days in town this week. He has 900
fruit trees on his place, nearly all of which
will bear next year. He has an acre of straw-
berries from which he will market fruit in a
few days.
