doctor in front of the hotel, and after a few words the doctor sprang towards him, when he pulled his pistol and fired. The doctor fell, and he shot him again. He admitted that there was an agreement that Mrs. Hiler should have a divorce, and stated that he urged ( 45 ) her to marry again. He was badly tangled up in the cross examination, and admitted many things which were strongly against him. Court almost immediately adjourned. A coro- ner’s jury was empanneled, and it was decided that Hubbard had met death at his own hands.
