it. Pace was warned that he must make these
checks good, and discovering that he could not
do so by pawning his pistol and watch, he took
his own life.
Nolan & Co., of the P. O. News Stand, have
a new fangled automatic self-regulating steam
peanut roaster in operation. The whole thing
complete is but little larger than an ordinary
sewing machine and can be operated in a par-
lor. It is a beauty, is free from dirt and offen-
sive odors, and has a whistle attachment which
causes a toot every time a nickel is dropped
into the slot. The ice cream season is closed,
but you can now treat your best girl to red-hot-
fresh-roasted peanuts.
