Somewhat Mixed The justices’ courts of Georgetown and San Juan have clashed. It seems that several months ago a couple were married by Judge Norero, of San Juan, and afterwards removed to Georgetown. Recently the husband and wife appeared before Judge Norero and asked for a divorce. The judge asked the wife what com- plaint she had to make against her husband. She said that he had treated her kindly enough, but that her mother told her that the husband had formerly lived with her (the mother). The judge then told the wife that he could not give a divorce under any circumstance, and that as long as her husband was kind to her, she had better live with him and not pry into his past life any further. At this time a constable from Georgetown entered the court room and at- tempted to arrest the husband, but Judge No- rero forbade the arrest until his court should adjourn.
