The case came up before Judge Lucas
Wednesday, when the colored girl testified that
Edna drew the gun, and it was discharged acci-
dentally, the bullet striking Millie ; that Edna
was so excited that she accidentally discharged
the weapon again. In the warrant which she
swore out for the arrest of Edna, she stated
that the first shot was fired at her, and that
the next shot was accidental. It looks like the
thing had been fixed up, and probably “hush
money” used. The matter should receive the
attention of the grand jury.
