WOMAN  KILLED  WITH  AX

The  dead  body  of  Refugia  Armijo  was
found  in  her  dwelling  between  Socorro  and  the
smelter.  She  had  been  killed  by  being  struck
on  the  head  with  an  ax,  the  bloody  instrument
of  death  being  found  near  the  body.  Pedro  Baca
has  been  held  without  bail  on  the  charge  of
having  committed  the  murder,  he  having  been
the  last  person  seen  with  the  deceased  woman.
