A. A. Ault: county investigator and ore hauler
In September 1890, Ault was appointed to a committee to examine the books of the probate clerk and county commissioners and to investigate the condition of Grant County affairs [2]. By 1891, he had moved his family from Hachita to Silver City and was actively hauling iron ore from Hanover to the railroad [1].
