C. G. Lott – Albuquerque Pioneer Watchman and Secondhand Dealer
Rogers, 81 North Arno Street in Albuquerque, from general debility incident to old age [1][2]. Thirty-one years earlier, he arrived in Albuquerque from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when the city was a small village, and entered the employ of the Santa Fe Railroad as a general watchman [1][2]. For many years he was a familiar figure at the little red frame depot, known for his courteous treatment of passengers [1][2]. After leaving the railroad, he engaged in the secondhand business on First Street between Central and Tijeras avenues, retiring about fifteen years before his death [1][2].
