Deah Poup: Chinese Gardener Killed in Grant County Axe Attack
Stephens removed pieces of his skull and performed trepanning, but Poup never regained speech, his right side was paralyzed, and he died on Wednesday [1][4]. A coroner’s jury later found that Poup came to his death by blows to the head from a sharp instrument in the hands of Rafael Traevior, who was jailed to await the grand jury [2][3].
