Doc Hines: Captured Mexican Central Train Robber
The robbery occurred at Mapula, a small station 14 miles below Chihuahua [2]. Beatty’s Biecho ranch, 45 miles nearly south of Chihuahua [4]. Hines was later killed at Hachita; according to one account, he was called to the door of a shaft house and shot, hit by a single bullet [1]. He had formerly worked on a section for the Southern Pacific company [3].
