In 1891, Frank Jones, along with Mike Downes and William Conant, planned a four-week hunt in the Mogollon Mountains, intending to start after the Fourth of July. [2] Later that year, Jones returned from a big hunt and fishing trip in the Mogollons with Mike Downes, Billy Conant, and Rufus Bover, reporting plenty of game and a good time. [1]
