Jerry Sullivan – Rincon character arrested for burglary, escaped to Mexico
He was also indicted for resisting an officer by shooting at him [2][4]. Arrested in Deming by a deputy sheriff, Sullivan drew a pistol given him by John Gilmo [1][3]; the officer fired five shots, and with help from Ben Laswell subdued him [1][3]. He was taken to Las Cruces [1][3]. His $200 bond was forfeited [2][4]. Though chained and handcuffed, Sullivan escaped from prison and was believed to be in Mexico [2][chunk:
