Vic Culbertson – GOS Brand Manager on the Sapello
In 1889, he lived on the Sapello and was initiated into the local Masonic chapter. [2] He spayed cattle on the GOS outfit, reporting success with only two deaths out of 105 head. [3][4] In 1890, he swore out a complaint against hunting parties for killing his cattle on the Mimbres range. [5] He also reported a devastating cloudburst and flood on the Sapello that washed out the valley. [6] Later that year, he went to Captain Donaldson's ranch to spay 800 head of she stock. [7]
