Meditation and Contemplation
Meditation and contemplation are universal spiritual disciplines found in nearly every tradition. These practices cultivate inner stillness, awareness, and direct experience of the sacred. Whether through Christian contemplation, Buddhist meditation, or Sufi dhikr, the aim is to quiet the mind, open the heart, and encounter the divine presence.
Christian contemplation: Centering prayer, Lectio Divina, and silent adoration.
Buddhist meditation: Mindfulness, loving-kindness (metta), and insight (vipassana) meditation.
Sufi dhikr: Repetitive chanting or remembrance of God’s names.
These practices foster peace, clarity, compassion, and a sense of unity with all life.
