Serna  then  fell  on  the  ground  pretending
to  be  dead  and  two  more  shots  were  fired  at
him.  He  then  arose  and  firing,  shot  his  adver-
sary who  only  lived  a few  hours.  Before  he
died  he  made  a dying  confession,  and  in  it  stated
that  Pedro  Miranda  had  hired  him  to  kill  Serna.
