Pearson, also known as Colonel Pearson, is the Superintendent of New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico, who led the school from at least 1935 through the 1940s [5][2]. He annually addressed alumni letters reporting on commencements, tight enrollment, and campus construction—notably the new Headquarters and Library building, Lea Hall auditorium, and planned barracks [1][5]. His postwar letters discussed the interrupted building program, expanding capacity to 700 cadets, and plans for a $500,000 alumni memorial chapel [4][3]. He also described the Baccalaureate service and the role of the Institute Chaplain [3].
