G. D. Bantz – Lawyer in Grant County and Sierra County
Bell, and others in 1891 [3]. Bell, and his logical deductions laid the foundation for Kerr's acquittal [2]. In another trial, Bantz delivered a summation that reviewed every particle of the evidence and convinced a jury to return a verdict of guilty of murder in the second degree [1]. Contemporary accounts described him as a student of more than average application who worked earnestly in behalf of his client [2].
