George W. Manley – Miner Killed in Central City Homicide
Fox in Silver City and stated he intended to kill Redding [5]. On the Sunday before the killing, Manley fought Joe Crizer at the Lackey house, using a Winchester; Redding intervened to ward off a blow [5]. On Wednesday morning, October 3, 1888, Manley arrived in Central [2]. He put away his pistol in a store but soon left and crossed the street toward Redding [4].
